According to Julien’s Auction, the Ringo Starr book exclusive retailer, “Lifted — Fab Images and Memories in My Life With the Beatles From Across the Universe,” will be released by Valentine’s Day 2022. According to the Lotus Foundation’s website, proceeds from the limited edition book will aid “advancing social welfare in many sectors. It will be including but not limited to drug misuse, cerebral palsy, brain tumours, cancer, abusive women and their children, homelessness, and animals in need.”

The book will provide the 81-year-old drummer’s “unique and illuminating viewpoint on his time. It will showcase his life in the greatest band in music history,” according to Julien’s.

What do Beatles have to say about Ringo?

I ‘lifted’ a lot of the photographs in this book from my phone and computer since they brought back so many fantastic memories.

“I’d gathered these Beatles images in previous years that I sometimes scarcely recalled. After a while, I thought to myself, “How amazing would it be if I could ‘steal’ these fantastic images and some of my other faves for charity.

They are the best to tell my genuine stories of what the four of us — John, Paul, George, and Ringo — went through back in the day?” The greatest part is that it’s all for a good cause, since the proceeds will benefit our Lotus Foundation.”

“So here is a book packed with Beatles photographs that many people haven’t seen. It also has anecdotes that I’m sharing with the help of my longtime writer buddy David Wild,” Starr explained. “For a lot of folks who have been locked down, we’ve all gone through a fairly horrible period. However, this book has truly raised my spirits and taken me back to where I once belonged. It has shown my journey in a whole new way.

He came to this conclusion: “That is, after all, why the title of this new book is “Lifted.”

The Beatles had a profound impact on my life. So it’s all about giving and receiving.”
